The Richmond Farmers' Market was established in 2008 by the South County Growers' Association (SCGA), a non-profit organization. The mission of the SCGA is to support Rhode Island agricultural producers, to educate the public about the benefits of buying locally grown food directly from farmers and about the importance of conservation of open space and farmland, and to connect farmers to the local community.

Big News! Same great market, new location!

The Richmond Farmers’ Market is moving to a new location! Jules Antiques is located 1.2 miles east of our former location on route 138 and has welcomed us with open arms as we found ourselves looking for a new home. It is exciting and beneficial for not only us as vendors but also for you as our loyal customers.

The Richmond Farmers’ Market has had 8 successful years at the Town Hall. We sincerely appreciate the support of the town and its residents as we started and grew the market. Weeks before Opening Day we were informed that the Richmond Economic Development Commission will be sponsoring the newly formed Richmond Community Marketplace Saturday mornings, the same day and time as our market has run. This new market does not complement our mission statement and our bylaws as a producer Farmers’ Market. Therefore, we decided that it would be in our best interest to find a new location.

We are excited about this new start for the Richmond Farmers' Market and look forward to seeing both old friends and new faces this season. Remember, we're just 1.2 miles east of Town Hall on Route 138. See you there, and thanks!
